“在工作的三十多年中，我走过了18个国家，这里让我感觉最舒服！”2007年，来自德国的米其林大厨马里奥（Mario Vieira）第一次来中国考察市场，走过很多城市，最后选择了长沙。15年过去了，中国速度，成为这个外国人在中国生活体会最深的关键词。
“In the past more than 30 years, I have been to and worked in 18 countries. But I choose to stay here finally.” Mario Vieira, a Michelin chef who comes from Germany, have chosen Changsha from many cities when he arrived in China in the first time. In the past 15 years, the speed of Chinese development impressed him.
“那时候的长沙与现在太不一样了，你无法想象这十几年里能发生如此大的变化”，在马里奥看来，数不尽的高楼大厦，独特的建筑，四通八达的高铁，还有很多环境优美的公园拔地而起，像是魔法一样神奇。
“Changsha is totally different now. You can’t image how fast the advancement of the city”,Mario says that countless skyscrapers, gorgeous architecture, high-speed railway, and beautiful gardens seem to come out of nowhere. “It’s like magic.”

长沙的快速发展是中国速度的一个缩影。在中国的15年里，因为工作的关系，马里奥时常行走在不同的城市当中。短短的几个月，一个城市就能发生很多变化。
To some extent, the development of Changsha is a perfect example of Chinese development. As a Michelin chef, he has to be away on official business in various cities in China. He was frequently surprised by some positive changes in the city, when he visit it again after several months, including the completion of a construction in a short time, a new mall going into operation in 3-4 months, and so on.
“对比我的家乡，这种发展速度是难以置信的”，马里奥说，“我常常跟我欧洲的朋友们分享我在中国的所见所闻，他们都不相信我描述的中国。因为欧洲的风格完全不一样，他们的节奏慢很多。”
“This is the unbelievable speed of development in my hometown. My friends who live in Europe can not believe what I experienced in China, because Europe is different style that is slow”, Mario says.
因为中国速度的“神奇”，马里奥选择了中国，他需要在有限的生命中有更多的经历和故事，他想和中国一起成长。
Because of the magic speed, Mario choose to stay here. He be into the speed because he is eager to enrich his experience and gain more marvelous memories in China.

在中国速度之外，优美的环境，也是他选择中国的重要原因。作为米其林大厨的马里奥将餐厅开在了长沙洋湖湿地公园中。洋湖湿地公园位于长沙的城区内，它的核心是构建生物多样性湿地生态系统，因此规划设计上广泛采用了“两型”技术和新材料。这是马里奥认同的绿色发展方式。
In the other hand, the good environment in China is also the important factor for him to stay here. Mario runs a western restaurant which is located in Yanghu Wetland Park. The park, in Changsha city, aiming to build up the wetland biological system with biodiversity, the building process makes the most of the resource-conserving and environment-friendly technology and new materials. Mario loves the Eco-friendly mode of development.
“我喜欢绿色，不管是工作还是生活，我都需要好的环境让我放松，给我更多的灵感”。工作之余，马里奥也是个旅行爱好者。他去过中国的很多城市，领略到了中国的美景、美食还有中国式的浪漫。
“I love nature and I need a good environment to release myself and help me find more inspiration.” As a traveler, he is into Chinese beautiful scenery, delicious food and romantic culture.
马里奥从小就对中国的历史与文化有着浓厚的兴趣，所以当有人向他发出到中国的邀约时，他第一时间答应了，“我的太太是中国人，我的孩子在这里出生，我在这有了自己的事业和朋友，中国早就成为了我的第二故乡。”
When he was a little boy, he was interested in Chinese culture and history. Therefore he said yes with no any hesitation when he get the invitation to be chef in China. Now he not only gets married with a beautiful Chinese lady, but has a cute son, runs a hot restaurant, makes many friends as well. “China already is my second home town”, Mario says.
